Women’s History Month Spotlight: CREW DC Written by: VIDA Fitness

As we honor Women’s History Month in March, VIDA Fitness is proud to spotlight women-owned businesses that are making a significant impact in our community.

Meet CREW DC!

CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) Network is a global association for women in commercial real estate representing more than 12,000 women (and men) in chapters across more than 80 major markets. Founded in 1979, CREW DC is the local chapter dedicated to influencing and transforming the commercial real estate industry by advancing women and other underrepresented groups. With nearly 600 members, CREW DC is one of the largest and most influential chapters within the CREW Network.

CREW Network is committed to developing its members and stakeholders while fostering the success of women in the communities it serves. CREW envisions a diverse and inclusive membership that nurtures belonging, cultivates connections, fosters growth, celebrates difference, and develops leaders in commercial real estate and beyond. To this end, diversity, equity, and inclusion are woven into the organization’s fiber, driving creativity and innovation in each of its programs.

As part of CREW DC’s commitment to advocacy, its internal committees act as a conduit to the greater Washington, DC, community. VIDA Fitness has the distinct pleasure of supporting CREW DC’s Philanthropy Committee and its efforts to support CREW’s local benefactors: Calvary Women’s Services, The District Alliance for Safe Housing (DASH), and Suited for Change, as well as CREW Network Foundation. Each quarter, VIDA Fitness hosts group exercise fundraisers to enable CREW DC members and affiliates to enjoy the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. VIDA Fitness donates time, physical class space, and instructional talent for each class, with all proceeds supporting the benefactor organizations listed above.

These local organizations support critical programs in education, financial literacy, professional development, and life safety for women throughout the Washington, DC community. Additionally, we benefit CREW Network Foundation, the only organization dedicating its resources to accelerating success for all women in commercial real estate globally.
