Embark on the next phase of your yoga journey with VIDA’s 200-hour Yoga Alliance Registered Teacher Training. This transformative program is taught by some of the finest instructors in the DMV, helping you deepen your practice both personally and professionally. By the end of the course, you’ll confidently lead individuals and classes in yoga, breathwork, and meditation, ready to teach structured sequences and design your own classes.
The curriculum, centered on the yogic philosophy’s five layers of being (the pancamayakosha model), fosters a deeper connection to one’s inner self and the ultimate internal teacher.
Offered annually at VIDA Yards (November – January) and VIDA Reston (January – April), the program is ideal for aspiring teachers and those seeking to enhance their yoga knowledge.

Chris practices and teaches many different types of yoga (asana, meditation, pranayama, kriya, mantra) and has studied yogic/vedic wisdom and philosophy at Sattva Yoga Academy in Rishikesh, India. Chris believes in yoga as a practical way to strengthen and tone the muscles of both the body and mind. Chris is the creator and host of the DC Yoga Podcast (iTunes | soundcloud)
He teaches Yoga, Pilates, and Group Fitness full-time as the Studio Program Manager at VIDA Yards.

Julia is the founder of EmPower Yoga and Wellness, a Washington, DC based yoga, meditation, and yoga-as-therapy practice, and leader of yoga and meditation retreats around the world. A Masters level Certified Yoga Therapist, Julia believes in yoga as therapy for mind, body and Spirit. Yoga is a process of continual refinement: poses are not achieved, but rather infinite opportunities, joyfully explored.

Christine Kontra is a yoga teacher, personal trainer, health coach, and martial artist in Washington, DC. Since completing her yoga teacher training in 2012, she has taught classes, led workshops and trainings, and incorporated yoga into programs for her personal training clients. Christine is also a Master Trainer at VIDA Fitness U Street, where she is passionate about helping each client reach their potential, while prioritizing mental fitness as an essential part of building physical fitness and overall wellbeing.

Adrianne Du’sauzay

Adrianne Du’sauzay embarked on her yoga journey over 20 years ago, balancing her practice with graduate studies in Exercise Science & Nutrition at George Washington University while working as a personal trainer. Her deepening commitment to yoga led her to complete a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with CorePower Yoga in 2015. She subsequently took on roles in teaching, management, and as a Master Trainer, enhancing yoga quality and training programs globally. With a record of teaching over 1,000 classes and leading numerous training sessions, Adrianne continues to evolve her practice and teaching in the DC area, exploring advanced studies in Pranayama, Meditation, and Integrative Yoga. Committed to the lifelong journey of yoga, she inspires others to discover their authentic selves through its practice.

Minjung Seo

MJ’s yoga journey began when her mother started yoga teacher training back in Korea, when she was still a high school student. MJ began her own journey as a yoga teacher in 2016 with Life Power Yoga. She continued her learning and completed RPYT and 300hr Training with Beloved Yoga while she was teaching various types of classes including prenatal yoga, chair yoga, as well as group classes. MJ is still discovering her true self through yoga and is eager to support others on their own journey.
