Why You Should Sign Up For Boot Camp With Dave

Summer is pretty much here, which means it’s time to take your workouts to the great outdoors! At VIDA, we offer the perfect option: boot camp-style classes that get you out of the gym but that still deliver a killer sweat sesh.
Our boot camps are designed for those looking to seriously improve their fitness levels through fun, challenging exercises in a small group environment. Workouts include a variety of partner drills, plyometrics, relays, and strength exercises. And the best part is that from April through October, we take our workouts to the streets and make D.C. our very own fitness playground.
VIDA group fitness instructor and veteran personal trainer Dave Roberts has been with VIDA since 2008, and he leads the Logan Circle boot camp. He says that the number one reason you should check out his classes is to add a little spice to your typical routine.
“Get outside!” Dave says. “Eschew working out on machines in favor of movements that provide real-life adaptations. You also work out in a group environment, and every class is a new workout.”
Dave’s classes typically include a cardiovascular warm-up, dynamic mobility and stretching, muscular activation, and three to four conditioning circuits. In describing his teaching style, Dave says that it’s all about helping clients achieve their goals while giving them practical tools to help them get there.
“I enjoy working with athletes who are working toward improving their health and wellness,” explains Dave. “I coach functional and high skill movements intended to improve strength, balance, flexibility, and overall work capacity.”
