Group Program Manager
Shawn developed his passion for Health and Fitness through his own weight loss journey. Going from a skinny kid to an overweight thirty-year old really opened his eyes to what being unhealthy was all about. Starting with Crossfit and a healthy nutrition plan, he immediately began to shed pounds and get healthy very quickly. As he continued his journey, he decided he wanted to share the joy he got from seeing and feeling his body change with others. He went into personal training and knew he made the right decision. Being a natural born performer, Group Exercise was the natural progression in his career. Shawn loves to find new ways to push people to get uncomfortable (safely, of course) and build stronger, healthier versions of themselves, all while making the process fun and enjoyable. His interests range from Olympic and Powerlifting to Zumba and Pilates. You may even see him doing the cha-cha between power cleans. His training and instructing style is to create relationships that allow his clients to trust him and to trust the process and help them find their true potential. Shawn is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, he holds multiple Group Fitness Certifications, and is active in the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington.
