Fernanda was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico, where she studied and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Law before moving to Washington, DC. Fernanda has always been athletic, participating in a variety of sports growing up, but ultimately fell in love with rock climbing. For her, climbing has had a great impact on her personal life and professional career, influencing her workouts and proving to her that with enough dedication, anyone is capable of a pull up. Fernanda is a certified personal trainer with the NSCA, and holds certifications in Spinning, Pink Gloves Boxing, Pilates Reformer, RIP and TRX. Additionally, Fernanda received a Master’s degree in Sports Management from George Washington University, allowing her to develop strategic and innovative thinking around the business side of fitness, along with continuing to develop her knowledge and experience base. She believes in functional training and making sure that the body works properly before loading it with an intense training program. While Fernanda believes mobility is important, she believes that diversity and variety are the spice of life (and training!), and incorporates a diverse range of exercises in her daily sessions. You can expect to see Kettle Bells, rowing, handstands, plyometrics and more in her training and her clients’ training!
